THE BPF

OUR PURPOSE

Did you know Burbank is ranked high in the safety index? Our officers work tirelessly to protect our residents and keep Burbank safe. We support Burbank Police departmental operations, supplement budgets and fund public safety initiatives; conduct, plan, study and coordinate educational programs through community outreach, fundraising events, and activities. Our Board is comprised of proud Burbank residents who understand the value of what our officers represent. BPF encourages our neighbors to become active and involved in fighting crime and disorder, as well as engage in charitable activities. This is our community.

Our annual Bocce Ball Tournament serves as a delightful fusion of community engagement and philanthropy. The event, marked by the spirited game of Bocce Ball, channels its proceeds towards the noble cause of supporting the Matthew Pavelka Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is specifically designed to recognize and reward high-school seniors who exhibit remarkable dedication to vocational goals. Beyond financial assistance, the scholarship aims to inspire students to wholeheartedly commit to their education or training, fostering a sense of responsibility. By encouraging the pursuit of excellence and distinction in all endeavors, the tournament becomes a vibrant platform where the community unites, enjoying a game for a meaningful cause.

“On Behalf of the men and women of the Burbank Police Department, please accept our heartfelt gratitude for supporting the Burbank Police Foundation (BPF). The Foundation is committed in their support of the Department and facilitating an ongoing collaboration between the department and the community we serve. The BPF’s philanthropic efforts fund scholarships and educational programs for the City’s youth, help underwrite numerous community engagement events, and provide the recognition for BPD personnel and citizens who exemplify and support the mission of the Department. Your partnership and support are greatly appreciated.”
