In 2003, Officer Pavelka tragically lost his life to gun violence while responding to a request for backup from fellow Officer Greg Campbell, who was gravely wounded. The community was left reeling from this devastating loss. In a heartfelt tribute, the foundation will unveil a commemorative plaque and dedicate a flagpole in Officer Pavelka’s honor, ensuring that his selfless service and sacrifice continue to be remembered and cherished by all.
