Honoring a fallen officer, by escorting his son to first day of school

Indianapolis police officers escorted fallen Southport Lt. Aaron Allan's 6-year-old son to his first day of school August 8th, 2018.   "We wanted to make sure this year we were here for little Aaron to make sure he got to school safe, just like his dad did about a year ago," said Southport Police Chief Tom Vaughn. First Responder Miracle in Montana

‘Miracle’ baby buried alive in Montana woods for 9 hours was saved by a deputy who heard a faint cry - USA Today Network It was about 46 degrees outside when deputies found a 5 month-old baby buried under sticks, leaves, and soil in the woods. "For all of us at the sheriff's office, this is what we call a miracle," police said.
